Once upon a time, in a shining land where gifts of fun were made, there was a renowned village of giftmakers. Giftmaking was an old craft that underwent years of refinement under the one named Old Master. However, the other creators of this village saw success in a predictable pattern, and have stopped making new gifts in favour of an easier way. It was not long before most other villagers assume that this is their neverending reality.

There was a small group of new and adventurous creators who began to feel the boring patterns of this non-changing craft. They were a trio: a Rabbit, a White Wolf, and a Raven.

One day, the three of them looked across the Great Ocean and saw giftmakers from another bigger land. Their gifts were very different from the ones they knowing their own home.

"Behold, my friends, there are well-crafted gifts from the land across, and they burst forth with fun in action," spoke the Raven.

The White Wolf nodded, "Yes, and the boxes actually show traces of the techniques by the Old Master!"

"Gifts need not to be patterned in the same way, like the ones in our village," the Rabbit stood up. "The Old Master started with gifts that were very much filled with action. It was us who allowed ourselves to stray from the Master's path."

"Let us create new kinds of gifts, filled with great spirit and action!" exclaimed the Raven. "Meet back here on this seashore in one year's time, and present each other creations in the name of our will."

The Rabbit took out a giant clover seed, "This clover shall be planted here as the witness to our agreement. We will mark our completed gifts with this clover."

Thus the trio parted ways. The Raven made a scary-looking jack-in-a-box, but the village liked it so much they released it for him before he could take to the clover. The White Wolf packed swords and guns and white hair into a box, and that too was favoured by the village and taken away.

One year has passed, and the Rabbit saw that the village was always quick to act. He met up with the tired two.

"This is not working out," the Rabbit lamented and sighed lowly. "The village has different ideas on how to use your gifts." With that, the White Wolf spoke out in determination, "Then... the three of us shall make that special gift on our own and release it before the village knows!"

It was a instant hit of an idea. The trio went forth and created a superhero in a box, and painted it with new colours that other gifts do not have. "Fate has it that this crafted gift shall be the first one to be marked by the serene clover," the Rabbit said as he took the box for marking. Immediately they send the box to both the villagers of the shining land, and the villagers across the Great Ocean.

Although few local villagers saw anything special, the superhero in a box was a hit for the villagers from across the Great Ocean! It was not long before the village took notice and kept an eye on the trio. The village branded them... The Clover Three.

True enough, a fully-grown, beautiful clover can be seen sprouted on the seashore, with three huts surrounding it. It was really a namesake like no other.

Soon, the three of them aspires again to create a better gift. This time, the White Wolf put his image and a red sun into a box, and packed it with the most unique colours only their homeland ever had. The gift of wolf and sun was again sent to every villagers there is. The Raven made a smaller gift to accompany that: a cool, blue gauntlet.

The villagers across the Great Ocean were more and more exalted, and the names of the Rabbit, White Wolf and Raven are engraved into the their minds. However... back in the trio's homeland, it was the same result as before. "Perhaps they are very used to the old gifts," laments the White Wolf. "That said, I am glad though that there are faraway villagers who enjoys this new kind of gifts."

But the home village had enough of the Clover Three. A great storm, an embodiment of the old village, slowly descends upon the clover and three tiny huts. Alerted, the trio came out of their shelters and faced a looming wrath. "We have allowed you three to play around for too long. You have used so much colours and materials, and none of our nearby villagers saw any good in it! No more of your silly time-wasting gifts!!"

Roaring thunder and lightning overwhelm the beautiful clover, and in a flash it was no more but ash. The huts caught fire in the storm, and were briefly burned to the ground. Fortunately, the three giftmakers escaped the ordeal. With that, the storm disappeared...

Alas, the beautiful clover was destroyed forever. The Rabbit walked up to the pile of ash and knelt beside it in sadness. It, too, was a mourning moment for the White Wolf and Raven. A tragedy and an aftermath, they call it.

Suddenly, a glitter in the smouldering pile caught the Rabbit's eye. Brushing off the blackened ash, Rabbit uncovered several golden seeds. "In its death, the clover has left us this treasure," the excited Rabbit told the others as he brought them the seeds. "It is not the end, my friends!"

The Raven and White Wolf had their frowns turned into smiles. "These golden seeds truly represent our undying will," the Raven took his turn in holding the precious remains. "We shall start anew, and let the world know of new kinds of gifts."

The trio took a nomadic journey from there on, looking for a new place for the seeds to be fully nurtured. The Clover Three discard their old name. They are now what the remains are: Seeds.

And that my friend, is an over-imaginative and bombastically worded fable of how Capcom's Clover Studio died, and the new Seeds Inc. came to be. :D

The moral of the tale? Your aspirations and dreams will never die. They only change and live on in different forms... for you to nurture them every time.
I don't think I have ever written a fable or any fiction that's a fancy interpretation of a real life event. With a sudden surge of inspiration, I opened the Notepad and started furiously typing everything that's here. :o

Would be nice if it inspires anyone else amidst its thick abstraction.

"This time, the White Wolf put his image and a red sun into a box, and packed it with the most unique colours only their homeland ever had. The gift of wolf and sun was again sent to every villagers there is." Ookami immediately came to mind when I read this, but at that part I didn't expect this to be related to Clover Studios.

I don't know what the Rabbit and Raven represent though... ><

Very nicely written. <3
